After the exhausting day, we cant wait to go to the bed, take off our make up, take off any hair bends from our hair and just lye down with our body being completely relaxed and our hair being completely released. WRONG! If we really want to take care of our hair, we need to have in mind that our hair also gets damaged while we’re sleeping!
Bellow are few tips that can protect your hair before you get your beauty rest.
1. SLEEP WITH DRY HAIR
First of all, wet hair can be extremely delicate and its much more prone to breaking. Secondly, you can get sick with the wet hair which is never a good idea. Blow dry the roots of the hair and try to naturally dry the rest of the hair.
2. CONDITIONING BEFORE GOING TO BED
Afterwards, apply some leave on conditioner such as natural oils to the hair ends, and let it absorb it over the night.
3. BRUSH YOUR HAIR BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP
After putting some natural conditioner on your hair, brush the ends of your hair gently, and then brush the entire length of your hair spreading the natural oils aour hair produces from the top of our hair to the bottom.
4. BRAID YOUR HAIR LOOSELY
After brushing your hair, do not leave it completely released before going to bed. Braid your hair loosely, which will help contain your hair when you are turning and tossing at night, and will reduce the breakage of your hair.
5. AVOID ELASTIC BANDS
The last but not the least, avoid using and elastic bands especially the ones that contain metal. They can cause hair breakage and put stress on your roots and ends. Instead, use a soft band (scrunchie) and tie it lightly.
